I feel like CNN always reporting on Tweets, but Notch and Jebs both released the 1.9 version of Minecraft. They are trying to push updates out hard and fast (what she said) to catch the November Minecraftcon where the final release, out of beta, will be available for download....

MineCraft 1.8 Complete, No Release

Notch tweeted that 1.8 is completed. Apparently, he used the 1.8 update at PAX this week where he allowed a few people to play the game and to find the bugs and issues that needed to be coded out; lucky S.O.B.’s. Hopefully, we can have the update within a week!
